Saturday was a wonderful day-we were honored to share her story with News 9!

Where to begin??  Our Welcome home and tack sale for Scribbles was all that we could have hoped for and more than we could have imagined.  So many people stopped by to see Scribbles, to visit her, look at her and share words of friendship and encouragement!  Many people dropped off donations, some bought tack. It was a little on the cold side, but once the sun came up high in the sky, it was perfect.  Lots of children were here, which added to the fun of our day- they were all so  sweet, and had so much fun.  Many families stopped by thinking it was a yard sale for people stuff, and instead took a walk down to the barn to see Scribbles.  Allison brought a big card for friends to sign to welcome her home.

Channel 9 news came to do a followup story about Scribbles, which as you can see they did a fine job with.   They were incredibly nice and did a great job editing out all the silliness and banter between Phil and I.  They also put up with coming to our farm well dressed, and very handsome only to have our overly friendly and curious horses sniffing and nuzzling on them. Thanks, guys!!

Scribbles spent most of her day in the round pen,and was happy so long as Beckett, her handsome Thoroughbred boyfriend was close by.  When he left her to wander around, she would trot with her tail flagging and prancing (I got my wish) and whinny for her boy.  She still is unsteady from time to time, but when her back end cant keep up, she slows down and corrects herself.  She's coming back very strong.

To all of our new doggie friends, you are in good company.  Yesterday we were joined by our dogs, Max (Yellow Lab), Bella (min-pin, Corgie, JRT mix), and our daughter's Diego(chiuahua mix).  We were dog-sitting Sadie, my sister's family's Italian Spinoni and she enjoyed all the company.  There was Bosco, Caitlin's Keeshond/Aussie mix (a crowd favorite), and Riley, Allison & Jacks Border Collie, also a favorite and as Border collies go he was very entertaining.  Then Teresa came to visit with her two dogs, Patch (a rescue from Katrina- a mix of the guessing kind, but super cute- maybe a dalmation/hound cross?).  And Millie, a chiuahua who wore a cute little coat.  Teresa does dog -dancing competitions with Patch- so he and Millie showed off some of their impressive dance moves. They are so smart!

Lastly, if anyone has a need for any horsie stuff, please let me know we have a  whole lotta great stuff left over.
Hugs to all from the Garside family!
