Two of my favorite little girls on two of my favorite girls!  My nieces live in Virginia, and this summer when they came for a visit, of course they had to ride the horses.  Whether people enjoy them from a distance, or up close, like Kess and Brooke- our horses are so powerful and big, yet so calming.  I cant wait until our horsie girls, Splash and Scribbles are reunited.  I spoke to Dr Myhre today- he's scheduling Scribbles surgery for Thursday.  We considered exploring the possibility of just leaving the eye and sinuses with the bone depressed on them, but I just dont want to.  She'de risk breathing issues and eye issues, for the rest of her life.  She could also have little complications, but I just cant bring myself to take a chance and risk ongoing issues with her face.  We've come this far, we'll give her the best opportunity to recover fully.

Last night I spoke on the phone to a friend of my sister's, Barbara.  She also has a horse, we talked about trail riding together.  Her horse is 31, and still goes out for rides!  Sounds like lots of people have amazing horses.  So many people think a 15 year old horse is old, but like me, they're just middle aged with plenty of life to live!
